Lorenzo Ferrndiz percussion
Ferrándiz Lorenzo Carrillo was born in 1974 in Alicante city later StudiedPercussion. In 1994 he moved to Amsterdam to continue his training at the Amsterdam Conservatory, graduating with a degree in Percussion and Chamber Music.
From 1992 to 1995 he was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain,and the summer of 1996 he joined the Tanglewood Orchestra at TanglewoodMusic Festival (Boston) under the artistic direction of Seiji Ozawa.
Since 1991 he has collaborated with various orchestras both SpanishNetherlands, since 1995 and regularly collaborates with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam conducted by great masters such as M.Jansons, R. Chailly, B. Haitink, N. Hartnoncourt, etc..
Between 1996 and 2001 was a member of Percussion Group of Amsterdam.
Forming Percussion Duo with his colleague Gustavo Gimeno has given concertsand master classes in cities like Amsterdam, Valencia, Rotterdam, Moscow,Berlin, Minsk, Aix-en-Provence and Saint Petersburg. In 1998 participated in theInternational Percussion Competition in Luxembourg, where he won the 2nd prizeand the prize "Ady Mootz" and "Honnert.7" the best performances. They made ??several recordings highlighting the work for Orchestra and Percussion Duo"Goldrush Concerto" Jacob ter Veldhuis of the Netherlands composer with theGelders Orkestar (Netherlands).
Ferrándiz Lorenzo was invited professor of percussion in various meetings of theSpanish National Youth Orchestra, Youth Orchestra of Madrid, Youth Orchestra of Catalonia, as well as several International Courses.
Between 1998 and 2008 he was professor of percussion and percussion group at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
He currently teaches percussion at the Music School of Catalonia (ESMUC).
