Roberto Genova saxophone
Roberto Genova (1981) studied classical saxophone at the Conservatorio "G.Verdi "
in Milan by Mario Marzi and at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with HenkTwillert.
In 2002 he received his "Bachelor Saxophone" with the top brand inMilan and in 2008
he obtained his "Master of Music" in Amsterdam.
He also studied composition with Dario Maggi and conducting with Jos Vermunt.
In workshops and international internships, he studied saxophone with JeanMarie
Londeix, Claude Delangle, Daniel Goutier, Fabrice Moretti, MassimoMazzoni and
teachers from the Berklee music school. His repertoire ranges from classical to
modern music. Since 1999 he plays regularly with the Orchestra''''Verdi in Milan
and since 2006 he is also the first solo saxophonist of the''''Orchestra del Teatro
Regio in Turin.
He played under the direction of important conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Reinbert, Gian Maria Noseda, Jan Latham-Koenig, TimothyBrock,
Wayne Marshall, Nicola Piovani and Milan Turkovic. Roberto worked with the Accordeonsax'' CsEaLLOx duo,'' and'' Aerosax quartet recorded a CD for
the Italian radio in Switzerland.
He also played for JewishMusic''','' Gioventu 'Musicale Italiana'','' Reggio EmiliaContemporanea'',
'' Orchestra G. Donizetti di Bergamo'','' Giovanile Orchestra delPiemonte'','' fiati
Orchestra di Soncino Diego Langhi'' and'' big band''.
Since 2007he is professor of saxophone music school and artists IJburg
coach MEMO Foundation, a major project with musical performances in
nurseries and elementary schools in Amsterdam and Utrecht.
