Karnatic Lab Festival 2003 16, 17 and 18 May The end of our fourth season brings us the Karnatic Lab Festival 2003, taking place in Amsterdam next weekend, the 16th, 17th and 18th of May. Manjunath Advanced indian rhythm. 15:15 - 16:45 Charlie Mariano Charlie Mariano will present his book - An Introduction to South Indian Music - and speak about his experience learning and performing Karnatic music and mixing it with jazz. 16:45 - 18:15 Ramesh Shotham, Zoltan Lantos en Ronan Guilfoyle The members of Madras Special will speak about and demonstrate their own approaches to Indian rhythms and structures. Additionally, Ronan Guilfoyle will present his book - Creative Rhythmic Concepts for Jazz Improvisation.
