The Karnatic Lab is a concert series devoted to exploring specific elements taken from Karnatic Music (classical music from South-India). Those elements are: - advanced development of rhythm - microtonality - the use of ornamentation		We believe that a focus on these concepts can lead to the creation of new musical possibilities. The form of the Karnatic Lab consists of monthly concerts followed at the end of the year with a festival. While the concerts are experimental in nature, the festival focuses on presenting finished works on a higher level.
