She died of a heart attack at her home in Bangalore, India. Jahnavi was a main source of inspiration for the Karnatic Lab through her music and her teaching. Many who perform here regularly have had the chance to study and work with Jahnavi. To celebrate her, we have decided to devote this next Karnatic Lab to her memory. This is an opportunity for people who knew her to come together and perform. We will also play several recordings of Jahnavi and everyone is welcome.
